Dressing In Style

Every inch of space has been put to use in this well-organized dressing room where a mix of open and closed shelving provides a full range of storage options.

The room has two exterior walls, allowing for several small windows to brighten the space with natural light.

Custom maple cabinetry is accented by simple stainless steel pulls that make it easy to open drawers and cupboard doors. Some of the cabinets are fitted with opaque glass panels to hide clothes that are out of season and protect them from dust.

The design includes a granite countertop for folding clothes, a tall corner shoe rack, a full-length coat rack and a three-level wardrobe for shirts and jackets. Several open shelves at floor level are tall enough to store luggage. Over-height shelving is ideal for extra pillows and bed linen. Two leather ottomans provide a place to sit while trying on clothes.

The dressing room is open to the master bedroom and its walls are painted with the same warm tan color. A large piece of contemporary modern art hangs at the entrance.

Floors in both the dressing room and the adjoining bedroom are covered with a low-maintenance carpet.
